The Role

  • Building relationships with clients, prospects and insurers
  • Development and growth of an account of long-term clients
  • Management of premium payment and credit control
  • Work through and manage a pipeline of assigned and self-generated prospects and referrals
  • Self-generation of prospects
  • Research & targeting of prospective new clients
  • Prospecting of cold and warm leads
  • Work with prospects and clients to collect information in respect of new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments
  • Preparation of market submissions to insurers and policy presentations to clients
  • Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium and income with both insurers and clients
  • Review market results, analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research, to make suitable insurer and product recommendations and demonstrate competency by explaining the extent of cover
  • Conduct periodic reviews with clients to ensure their current cover remains adequate
  • Assess and identify any areas of uninsured risks
  • Ensure cover arranged always complies with the client’s demands and needs
  • Advise clients of the insurers’ terms and conditions
  • Be generally awesome, willing to always learn, and not have a big ego 😎

What we’re looking for

  • Driven to meet and exceed targets within a customer-centric approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous sales experience – beneficial but not essential
  • Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to manage your own workload and development
  • Be customer focused and understand how to provide excellent service at all times
  • Successful within the regulatory environment in which we work
  • Always remain professional and proactive attitude

The Role

  • Supporting Account Executives and other colleagues on complex policies, including placing new business, renewals and managing mid-term activity

  • Checking the accuracy of policy documentation
  • Take ownership of client cases and liaise with Account Executives, Account Handlers, and other colleagues as appropriate
  • Providing technical expertise to clients and colleagues across a broad range of commercial insurance
  • Acting as a point of reference within the company
  • Liaise with and manage the workflow of other Account Handlers and/or other colleagues where required
  • Mentor and provide training to other members of colleagues where required, including induction of any new colleagues
  • Promote, deliver and provide support and guidance to other colleagues on new and existing company policies and procedures
  • Quality check client files in accordance with the company Quality Checking Procedures
  • As a Senior role, the expectation is that you will go beyond mere compliance with company policies and procedures and act as a role model for best practice
  • Assist in the creation and ongoing development of company processes and procedures
  • Most important: be generally awesome, always willing to learn, and not have a big ego 😎
